I love the nature

I love the nature

I felt like I was in the Blair Witch Trial. I like the use of nature shots and the idea of the post apocalyptical world. I didn't understand the film, but there were some pretty landscapes.

Poetic Expression

Doing a film as a poetic expression really allows you to push the limits when it comes to lighting but more easily in the composition. Oh Sister Where Art Thou?

2.3 Stars

This is a pretty interesting piece. I think the color could have been altered a bit to feel a bit more apocalyptic. To look at another film that has a similar look in the woods, Roger Deakins' Oh Brother Where Art Thou? I think there was a shot in there with some cars. The night stuff looked under-lit and could have used some light pumped in there so you could see the character.

Doing a film as a poetic expression really allows you to push the limits when it comes to lighting but more easily in the composition. When she's awake which is the time when she's uncomfortable what can you do to really show that she's uncomfortable? Move way back and make her REALLY tiny in the frame. Put her in an uncomfortable/unnatural part of the frame. Really play with the composition to the extremes to really tell the feeling of your poem. It's a great opportunity to explore.

Your Story

2 Stars

You have the basis for a great story and you've outlined it quite well in the summary but don't rely on the fact that everyone will read your summary. It all needs to be in the film. I would have really liked to have learned more about her situation, just like you told in the summary in the film. You have it, you just need to show more. You've got a great idea, it just didn't all make it to the screen. You had some great beauty shots in there. Loved those.
